Setting Up / Enable Subscriptions On Lifelong POS #
Step 1 #
1. Navigate to https://login.lifelongpos.com/

2. Click the “Settings” tab on the left hand side of the page

3. Click the “General settings” tab

4. You can use Ctrl + F on Windows or Command + F on Mac to quickly find this setting header.
Scroll down or search to find the “Subscription” category header>
Click on Enable Subscriptions drop down menu and mark as> Enabled
(Optional) To track subscription sales separately, assign a specific Location ID or Employee ID for recording these transactions.

5. Slide down to the bottom of the page and click “SAVE“

Step 2 #
6. Click the “Items” tab on the left hand side of the page

7. Click the “View Categories” button at the top right of the page.

8. Click on the “New Category” button

9. Under the “name” field type “Subscriptions“
Click “Save Changes“

10. Refresh the page to see the new ‘Subscriptions’ category along with its unique ID.
NOTE: Make sure to write down the ID number for use in later steps.
Next, click the “Items” tab on the left hand side of the page

11. Click on the “Modifier Groups” button

12. Click on the “New Item” button

13. Under the “Group Name” field type in “Subscription Management“

14. In the fields labeled ‘Min Modifiers‘ and ‘Max Modifiers‘, enter the number 1 in both

15. Under the field “Print Group Name to Kitchen” use the dropdown to select the “Enabled” option.

16. Click the “+Add new” tab

17. Under the “name” field Type in the word “Start“
Next, click the “+Add new” tab again

18. Under the second “name” field type in the word “Stop“

19. Under the “Web Status” field, use the dropdown to select “Enabled“

20. Click the “Save Changes” button

Step 3 #
21. Click the “Items” tab on the left hand side of the page

22. Click “New Item”

23. Under the “Name” field, enter the name of the subscription.
For example, we used: “Test Subscription $50 Month”.

24. Under the “Category” field, use the dropdown to select “Subscriptions“

25. Under the “Subscription Product” field, use the dropdown menu to select Daily, Monthly, or Yearly.

26. Under the “Subscription Amount” field, enter the price for the subscription based on the chosen billing period—daily, monthly, or yearly.
In our example, we used $50

27. Under the “Tax Class” field, Select the “No tax” option.

28. Scroll down to Manage Modifiers and under “Mod. group 1” select “Subscription Management” from the dropdown menu.

29. Click the “Save” button

Scroll down or search to find the “Customers” category header>
Click on Allow Customer Assign (App) drop down menu and mark as> Enabled

33. In the “Force Customer Assignment for Category IDs” field, enter the Subscription Category ID you wrote down in step 2 earlier.
For example, our ID was: 83

34. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click “Save“

35. The subscription will now charge the customer using the saved credit card token from their most recent order.
