Round Up Cash Feature: Round 5 cents #
This guide introduces the Round Up Cash feature, which simplifies cash transactions by eliminating the need for pennies. By rounding totals to the nearest 5 cents, it streamlines the checkout process and ensures accurate drawer balances. Round up: No pennies? No Problem! #
1. Ring up your transaction
2. Press pay at the top right-hand corner
3. Check if the total is rounded to the nearest 5 cents
4. If not, click the “Round 5” button in the cash section to round the total to the nearest multiple of 5.
Cash Payment with Rounded Total #
1. After clicking “Round 5”, a new line labeled “Rounded Total” appears at the bottom.
2. Continue the cash payment process as usual:
- Order amount: exact change (e.g., $21.65)
- Custom: enter a specific cash amount
- $ Buttons: use preset cash denominations
Example of Transaction #
Example: Customer gives $25.00 in cash. Rounded total is $21.65. Change given: $3.35.
The rounding ensures totals are in nickel increments, improving drawer accuracy.
Confirm and Finish Transaction #
Click Confirm in the top right corner to complete the transaction and proceed to the receipt.
Customer Facing View #
The customer will see the following:
- Total: Credit card total
- Cash Total: Rounded total
- Rounded From: Original amount before rounding
