General Settings: Add Low Stock QTY #

Tip: Setting a low stock quantity establishes a threshold that triggers alerts or reports when inventory is running low, helping you maintain optimal stock levels and avoid lost sales from out-of-stock items.

Navigate to the Lifelong POS login page #

Click on the “Settings” tab on the left hand side of the screen #

Click on “General Settings” #

Enable stock management in General Settings #

You can use Ctrl + F on Windows or Command + F on Mac to quickly find this setting header.

Scroll down or search to find the Stock Management category header.

Look for the option labeled “Enable stock management” and make sure it is enabled.

Scroll to the bottom and click “Save” #

Click on the “Items” tab on the left hand side #

Edit the product to set low stock quantity #

Locate the product using search or browse functionality.

Click the [[pencil icon]] next to the product.

Set your Low Stock Quantity threshold #

In the editing view, locate the field labeled “Low Stock Quantity”.

  • Enter your desired threshold value.

This is the quantity at which you’ll receive an alert to restock.

Click “Save” to apply the changes #

Tip: Generate Low Stock Reports (Optional) #

This report helps identify items with low stock, streamlining purchasing and inventory management across locations.

Click the “Report” button under the ITEMS tab #

Select ‘Low Stock Items’ from Report Type #

Choose additional filters like subtype, vendor, and location #

Press ‘Get Report’ to generate the low stock list #

Review the generated report #

This displays a list of items that fall below the set stock quantity threshold.
