General Settings: Location Pricing #

What is Location Pricing? #

Tip: Location Pricing in Lifelong POS allows you to set different prices for the same product across multiple store locations. This flexibility helps you adjust pricing based on local costs, market demand, and competition, ensuring each store remains competitive and profitable.

Login to Lifelong POS #

Access Settings #

Click on the “Settings” tab on the left-hand side of the screen.

Open General Settings #

Click “General settings”.

Enable Location Pricing #

Use Ctrl + F (Windows) or Command + F (Mac) to locate the Tweak Functionality section.

Find the option labeled Location Pricing and set it to Enabled.

Save Your Changes #

Scroll down and click “SAVE”.

Create Location-Specific Price Attributes #

Click the “Items” tab on the left-hand side of the screen.

Open Custom Attributes #

Click the “Custom Attributes” button.

Add a New Product Attribute #

Click the “New product Attribute” button.

Find the Location ID #

TIP: You can find the location ID by navigating to Settings > Locations.

Configure Location Price Attribute #

  1. Enter the Code: Format: price_<location_id> (e.g., price_1).
  2. Set the Name: Use the same code or something descriptive (e.g., price_storeA).
  3. Custom Attribute Type: Select Floating Point Number.
  4. Frontend Input Type: Set to Text.

Save the Attribute #

Click “Save Changes”.

Assign Prices to Products #

  1. Go to the “Items” tab.
  2. Select or search for a product to update.
  3. Click the pencil icon to edit the product.
  4. Locate your custom attribute (e.g., price_1) and enter the price.
  5. Save your changes.

Confirm Attribute is Active #

You should now see your location-specific price attribute (e.g., price_1) and can enter prices for that location.

Final Save #

Click “Save”.

Automatic POS Pricing #

Tip: Once set, the POS terminal at each location will automatically use the corresponding price attribute (e.g., price_1) for accurate, location-specific pricing at checkout.
