Creating a Gift Card through the Website #
Navigate to https://login.lifelongpos.com/ or https://manage.acadiapos.com/login
Click on the “Items” tab on the left-hand side of the screen.
Under the “Gift Cards” screen, click “New Item”
🎁 Gift Card Setup – Step-by-Step Guide #
Gift Card Number #
This is the unique code used to identify the gift card. You can enter any number you’d like or use the number printed on a physical gift card. For alphanumeric codes (e.g., “HOLIDAY2025”), go to Settings > Payment Methods > Gift Cards and enable “Letters in Gift Card No”.
Gift Card Value #
Enter the amount of money to load onto the card (e.g., 50 for $50). Do not include the dollar sign ($).
Gift Card Status #
Set the status to Enabled to activate the card.
Expiration Date (Optional) #
Enter the expiration date if applicable. Leave blank if the card does not expire.
Assign Customer (Optional) #
Link the card to a customer or leave blank for unassigned. Each card can only be assigned once.
Click “Save Changes” to apply your updates.
Existing Gift Card Functions #
This section allows you to manage gift cards, view balances, transaction history, and update statuses.
Click the blue pencil icon to edit. Click “Save Changes”.
Click the blue calendar icon to view gift card history, including transactions and balance changes.
Creating a Gift Card on the Lifelong POS Register #
Search for the gift card item using the search bar. Contact support if it isn’t listed.
Enter the amount and gift card number manually or by scanning. Click “OK” then “Yes Create”.
Add to cart, then click “Pay”. Choose a payment method (cash/card). Print/email receipt, then click “Next Order”.
Pay Using an Existing Gift Card #
Click “Pay”, select “Gift Cards” from dropdown. Enter or scan the card number, check balance, then click “Collect”.
Click “Delete” to cancel use. Click “Confirm” if balance is $0.00. Complete transaction with other payment if needed. Print/email receipt.
Tip: If you don’t have physical gift cards, consider using https://plastekcards.com/
Alert: Swipe cards won’t work. They must include a scannable barcode or alphanumeric code.
